It is a traditional Balochi cuisine (Pakistan) Made with beef. It is often cook for special events and gathering. The beef is marinated with various spices. Then the beef is roasted and served with rice or naan. This Balochi dish is very spicy and full of flavors

Ingredients:
For Sajji:
- 2 kg boneless beef
- 2 tablespoon of salt
- 2 tablespoon of black pepper
- 2 tablespoon of cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon of red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon of coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon of ginger & garlic paste
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoon cooking oil
- Skewers
- Charcoal for grilling ( it is optional)
Instructions:
1. Preparation:
- Wash the beef properly and make deep cuts in it for better marination.
2. Marination:
- Take a large bowl put salt, black pepper, cumin powder, garlic paste, ginger paste, lemon juice, yogurt, and cooking oil in it.
- Spread the mixture properly over the beef that it gets properly into the cuts that we make before in the beef.
- Cover the beef with some sheet and refrigerate the marinated beef for at least 4 to 6 hours.
3. Cooking:
- Prepare the charcoal grill. Make sure that the grill is properly heated.
- Now skewer your beef properly. Elsewise place the beef on the grill.
- Roast the beef properly until the beef becomes tender and properly cooked and rotate the beef time to time for even cooking and a smoky flavor.
4. Finishing:
- When the beef is cooked then let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing
- Serve the hot beef Sajji with rice or Naan.
Garnishing:
- Garnish it with raita, fresh salad and lemon wedges.
- Slice the meat just before serving to show its tenderness and juiciness.
Tips:
- You should baste the beef occasionally with butter or oil it can help to keep it moist during roasting .
- Usually Sajji is cooked on an open flame so by using a charcoal grill will give us the authentic beef Sajji flavor.
- Put the spice levels and salt according to your preference.
